Leveling the Playing Field with V-FR

A new study has demonstrated that Viora’s V-FR handpiece is changing the game for fractional RF ablative and non-ablative treatments. Published in August, the paper Fractional ablative and non-ablative radiofrequency for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation of Thai patients gives clinical and histological support for the efficacy of Viora’s fractional RF handpiece, and it’s high safety profile.
Working in conjunction with Viora’s advanced SVC (Switching, Vacuum, Cooling) technology, the second generation of fractional RF was proven to give significant benefits over first generation devices for fractional treatments. Fractional photothermolysis is a process which induces thermal wounds to the skin to cause a healing effect on the treated tissue. This technology is predominantly used to perform skin resurfacing such as skin tone and texture improvement.
One of the most significant advantages that the study uncovered is the ability of the V-FR handpiece to deeply penetrate and still create ablation on the epidermal layer. In addition to this,  Viora’s unique handpiece can create separate biological responses: ablation, coagulation and a combination of the two. On top of that, the ability to select specific penetration levels adds an extra layer of flexibility and treatment customization depending on the symptoms presented by the patient.

A 25-year-old male, Fitzpatrick skin V, with facial postacne atrophic scars, at the baseline, 4 weeks after 1st, 2nd and 3rd treatments and at 2- and 5-month follow-up visits. The patient was treated with Deep program, at 50-60 milliseconds pulse duration and 3.5-4.5 J

The results are incredible and convey the extreme development and focus Viora’s R&D team has put into the handpiece. The study thoroughly investigated the effects of the handpiece across various parameters (full results can be viewed here) with the results demonstrating the power that you too can add to your clinic or practice:

The V-FR handpiece is a significant accomplishment for Viora and is poised to perform as an incredible tool for practitioners who deal with an Asian population – a segment that has traditionally been difficult to perform fractional RF procedures on without  having to sacrificing safety or effectiveness.  Be sure to follow us on our Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up to date with the latest developments from Viora.
